Much short-handed micro-limit Hold’em action
AbsolutePoker is a medium sized poker room with around 2,000-3,000 real money players during peak hours. The action is mainly concentrated to short-handed micro-limit Texas Hold’em games but other playing forms are offered (for example Omaha and 7-Card-Stud). The competition in this room is rather soft with many loose micro-limit games. A solid small stakes player will have a good chance of making a healthy profit - you will usually be able to find decent Hold’em games up to the $2-$4 fixed-limits and $1-$2 in no-limit games. In the higher stakes games the competition is significantly tougher and the view flop percentages will often be as low as 30 in these games.
Private tournament option
The software in this room has a few flaws – some of the sound effects are irritating and it’s not possible to eliminate the fun money games from the lobby. Otherwise the software works well with reasonable playing speed and good functionality. The lobby is well structured and contains the information you would expect. Some of the best features are the possibility to play private tournaments with your friends and the find-a-player function. It’s also possible to transfer cash between players.
Refer-a-friend program
You will be credited $50 if a player you refer to this room deposits a minimum of $25 and then plays in 100 real money raked hands. In addition AbsolutePoker offers many good free rolls, WSOP free rolls and re-load bonuses. They also have an attractive loyalty program in which players receive Absolute Reward points when they play in real money raked hands or enter tournaments.
