Omaha High-Low
Omaha High-Low is played the same way as Omaha High with the exception that there are two qualifying hands that divide the pot into two pots, one high-hand and one low-hand. In order for a low-hand to qualify it needs to consist of five cards that have an eight or lower as the highest card. Omaha High-Low is also called Omaha 8 or better because of the low hand. Only one card counts if there are more than one of the same value (pairs). Straights and flushes don't count in low-hands. The best low-hand is called a wheel and that is a hand consisting of A2345. There's always a high-hand qualifier so if there isn't any low-hand the high-hand takes the whole pot. If a player has both the best high-hand and low-hand he or she gets the whole pot, which is the goal of Omaha High-Low. If two or more players have the same low-hand they split the pot.
