Seven-Card Stud High-Low
Seven-card stud high-low is being played the same way as Seven-Card Stud High with the exception that there is a qualifying low-hand, which divides the pot into a high-hand pot and a low-hand pot.
A low hand must consist of five cards 8 or lower, hence the commonly used name eight or better for High-Low games. Only one card counts when there's the same value on cards (pairs). Straights and flushes don't count against you. There's always a high-hand pot and if there's no low-hand qualifier the whole pot goes to the high-hand. If two or more players have the same low-hand they split the low-hand pot. A player with the best high-hand and low-hand wins both pots, and if a player has the best high-hand but has the same low-hand as another player he or she wins 75% of the total pot.
